Love it! ... So the politicians have woken up this morning and 'decided' we are disillusioned with them...

Who are these people?

Ok first of all let me say that my MP is the only person I've found that actually did help me solve a problem.

I catch either the 0502 or 0541 South Eastern Train from Bickley to Blackfriars or City Thameslink.

A couple of years ago they stopped turning the heating on in early February and only restarted in late October.

Ok I sound a bit whiney and I should man up. But originally the journey took 22 minutes. It now takes 38 or 43 minutes... 20 years later. The train isn't the nice new comfortable class of train it's little more than a cattle truck with some benches in it.

It was the year that it was bitterly cold into late May. I actually used to get so riled by it that I'd take a thermometer to measure the temperature some days, the snow in the doorways didn't melt because it was so cold... I think -7 was the worst I experienced. Sit down in -7 for 43 minutes then tell me I'm whiney.

I wrote to the train company and they just made up some rubbish that the heating wouldn't work until at least 2014!!!

I wrote to the Ombudsman for trains. Another useless waste of space. If that's what Train company  says blah blah blah...

No hint of a refund anywhere...

So I wrote to my MP. Prompt reply. Then he wrote to the train company and within days we had heating. So in this particular instance it's one of the few times I have ever seen them actually get something down.

We are all pissed off. At least all my friends that I've spoken to.

We are disillusioned.

So open your ears and listen.

There will always come a time when people start saying ENOUGH!

Too much Tax, too many hangers on, too much money being wasted.

100 years ago poor people didn't have too many 'surviving' children because if they couldn't afford to feed them, they died.

We have too many people now in the gene pool that shouldn't be alive.

This isn't a conversation about racism, social groups or anything else. This is about the genetics of the species.

100 years ago people with genetic disorders died young. People in poor families had 17 kids of which 3 survived.

I've traced my own family back... 17, 3 survived, 16, 4 survived and so on.

Back then you couldn't rely on handouts to survive.

We should look after those who circumstances are worse than our own. Yes I also think we should try to find cures for diseases or illnesses. I also think that our government should stop being so mamby pamby and step up. But I don't think that someone who decides not to work should be substantially better off than someone who does. There's something wrong in that.

Show some leadership.

The obesity crisis is growing. This one is an easy one.

Start with food. Look at the ingredients. Then go after the food companies that put stealth rubbish inside that makes people obese. Either put them right out of business or levy the health cost AT them.

If kids aren't exercising ask why.

Are there the facilities?

How do we create them?

Start coming up with solutions. Then implement them.

If you put the job out to tender and the contractors decided you should pay 4-6 times the going cost. Stop using those contractors, duh!

Employ a company to find out what the going costs are in every area the government have to buy in expertise, then negotiate the 'going' rate.

Then if your tenders are artificially inflated, pass legislation to make it illegal to profiteer.

You have the law on your side. You have money that is only going a quarter as far as it should.

That means you could be getting at least four times more for your money...

Or that if you give out big enough contracts why aren't you getting bulk discounts. I'd expect it if I was buying.

Keep it simple. Don't over complicate it.

Remember that film Dave?

A doppleganger is asked to stand in for the President of the USA, using simple common sense he solves loads of the problems overnight.

Might be a lesson in there somewhere...

UKIP listened to what people are saying. A step in the right direction.

Hopefully it will get the ball rolling and politicians will start to remember that they are our chosen representatives. Not self serving individuals who think they are so vastly superior that what we think no longer matters.
