What a weekend! Our first hot weekend of the year...
This weekend should give you all the reasons in the world for getting back in shape. How many summers have you wanted to wear certain clothes and had to choose something else instead?
How many times did you lie by the swimming pool on holiday and wish that you’d put the work in or not eaten so many late night dinners? Or had to suck your belly in as you walk down the beach?
How many times have you avoided holiday pictures because of the truth they tell about you?
It takes discipline.
It means you have to find the time to look after yourself.
It means you have to fuel yourself correctly.
It means you can't cheat. You can't give up. You can't give in to the part of you that wants to keep you small.
But most of all it means you start yourself on the path to being a better you.
Fitness, health and vitality are all a momentum game.
To get the ball rolling you have to put in massive amounts of energy. The ball barely moves, then millimetre by millimetre it starts to shift. Then slowly that changes and you can see the ball actually incrementally moving, actually moving.
Then it gathers pace and before long it’s screaming down a hill and you’re laughing as you run to catch up.
I started THAT journey 3 weeks ago. I had to push and push and push just to get my ball to start moving.
But now it’s on the move and gathering speed.
10 days was all it took to kick start myself. Everyday started hard and got easier.
Now I beginning to do things that I haven’t even attempted in years.
So action time.
