Brutally Tuesday...

Tuesday mornings are always a little different.

I do my training session but I'm joined by a mixture of clients and class participants. Usually 3-5 girls, my hardest trainers, and 1-3 guys.

It's a big group for training in the gym but we get through the workouts and all of us have seen some real improvements.

0730h

200m 25 jumping jacks, 15 crunches, 5 Explosive Pushups
Repeat x3

A1. DB Squats 22x15, 26x15, 26x15, 26x15
A2. DB Skull crushers 16x15, 16x15, 16x15, 16x15 then straight into A3
A3. DB Close hand chest press 12x15, 16x15, 16x15, 16x15

B1. 45 Degree Leg Press 180x15, 200x15, 240x15, 280x15
B2. Tate Press 16x15, 16x15, 16x15, 16x15 then straight into B3
B3. Close hand Push ups x15, x15, x15, x15

C1. DB Step ups 14x10, 16x10, 18x10, 22x10
C2. Bench dips x20, x20, x20, x20

This workout felt brutal. really struggled through the last few rounds of step ups, nothing left in my legs.


2nd Workout

1700h

400m treadmill / 10-8-6-4-2 of Air squats and jump chins (these required a big jump)

5 rounds for time of:

Deadlift 80kgs
DB Pushpress 22kgs x6
Burpees x9

Time: 5:40

Legs were totally shot from this morning. Nothing there.

As many repeats as possible in 20 minutes of:

400m run
10 thrusters 10kgs
10 knees to elbows

6 repeats in 19:03

This was hell. No legs, even the thrusters at 10kgs hurt. Knees to elbows felt fine although my quads were burning.
