When things go wrong...

Great weekend. Lots of sleep, rest and recovery.

Chomping at the bit to get back into training.

Then last night I had a massive bout of Sunday night insomnia. You know the kind of thing where you either go to bed and lie staring at the ceiling ALL night (my version), or the other version is where you keep waking up every hour and panicking that you might oversleep.

So by 4.40am I finally felt like I wanted to sleep. 10 minutes before my alarm is due to go off. For the whole day except during my workouts I have been a light headed man.

Great sports massage with Alek, worked on my feet which have been agony, and by the time my session was over felt like I was walking on feathers, lovely.

Whole day went past quickly and I had my plans laid out what to do this evening.

I get off the train and my car won't start. Can't get to the gym, whole evening gets thrown out of whack.

I call Lucy, we take the battery out of the car and put it on charge by the time I get everything sorted out, two hours has gone by.

I get to the gym train, come home. Take my chicken out of the oven and its not cooked. I put it back i and 30 minutes later its finally done.

So overall today I have completely wasted over 2.5 hours.

So what my point?

Let it go. Don't hold on to it. It's gone, there's nothing we can do about it.

There is always tomorrow...
