10 Million kgs of fat...
Earlier I was reading another blog... http://www.nicolavincent-abnett.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
I met Nicola and her husband during my trip to Nottingham back at the beginning of the month. I instantly liked the both of them and felt very much like they were my kind of people.
Since then I have been following them on Twitter and reading Nicola's blog. Take a look at today's.
She's discussing setting herself a goal of writing a novel, missing her own self imposed deadline, by about 1 to 3%. She then compares that to the writers who have taken part in NanoWrimo month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/). Check it out.
Well if you'd taken part and missed your goal of writing 50,000 words in a month, you'd have been 500-1500 words short (2-5 pages short?) of finishing your novel. You'd have sat down and banged them out.
Hmmm NanoWrimo month, 50,000 words in a month.
How about Nanoleano month?
In January we all set out to lose 10kgs. Guess what? If you only lose 5kgs you're already 11lbs lighter in a month.
Does that work in the same way?
How about losing 50,000 kgs in a month? It would mean we'd have to find 5-10,000 people to join us. That could be interesting...
Oh no... 1,000,000 people losing 5-10kgs is a 10 million kg month.... Whoo hoo! Now that's big enough to make my mouth water.
Now I am excited. Could it be done?
10 million kgs of fat lost in a month.
So here's the problem statement:
How can we inspire enough people to lose 10,000,000 kgs of fat during the month of January?
What if we challenged other countries to try and beat us?
