Self awareness
Over the last few weeks I have had dizzy spells off and on. Nothing major, just every now and then feeling light headed, and believe it or not but I am still sore in places from last Saturday's run/obstacle course.
My Tuesday swim was far more painful than it should have been. Yesterday I did a very light workout which hurt, and then this morning I was sore demonstrating Jack pushups. So rather than try force myself though a workout I am going to teach my spin class tomorrow and swim in the afternoon but leave mt gym sessions and restart next Monday.
Which incidentally is the start date for my new program.
Usually I use my heart rate monitor to give me an indication of over training or whether I am under the weather. But for some reason all my heart rate monitors seem to have gone walkabout.
Sometimes you have to listen to your body. Mine is saying I am tired. This might be as a result of lowering my calories with my diet this week or my body is starting to react to the sugar withdrawal.
Today I was so hungry, as its the end of the week last few cashew nuts and then all I had left in the fridge were foods I am trying to avoid.
It's not wrong to make a mistake, but it's dumb to repeat it. So next week I know that Wednesday night I need to shop and make sure my snack food has been replenished.
So far this morning I was 91.3kgs down from 95kgs.
I have made a start. Saturday is my legitimate cheat day (designed to increase my metabolism), so I am going to swim first thing, do a run and then take a shopping trip for my goodies. I know that if I get them tomorrow, the temptation will get the better of me.
This might sound week, but I know this first month is going to be hard so I need to help myself as much as possible.
