New Computer and the things you forget...

This weekend I picked up a new iMac. Not sure just how much faster it is than my old one but so far it's not bad.

Then I realised it doesn't have a DVD drive so I couldn't load any of my software. Then I realised that all my old passwords/webpages and everything else were on Firefox and now I am on Safari.

3 days of fun and games.

But now it's up and running and I'm having fun.

So the last week has been pretty up and down. One of my early Christmas presents from Lucy is a Nike+ Fuelband. It's been fascinating for me because every time I go on holiday I put on weight.

Over the weekend I trained as normal, then just went about my normal weekend, a bit of reading, painting, drawing and some Christmas shopping. Well each of the days my Nike fuel number was around 2,000 (the units are arbitrary really). Both days I messed my target by 1,000 points.

Then yesterday I went to work. Left home at 5.30am, got in at 10.30 last night. Two workouts, normal workday of PT and an evenings shopping at Bluewater. 7,000 points!!! I walked 19.8kms.

Today the number is nearer to 4,500 but the band isn't waterproof so my 60 minute swim didn't get included in the number.

So potentially my numbers are 2-3x greater at work than they are when I am away on holiday. That's even taking into consideration that I cycle, swim and even workout every day. Usually I gain around 12 pounds in 2 weeks. Just shows how active my normal life is.

7 sleeps till Christmas x
