I learnt something today...
Everyday I leave for work around 5.30am and at the moment it's dark!
So being the geek I am I logged on to look through the sun up and sun down times.
I always assumed that it was about a minute a day every day till the mid summer then it went the other direction.
I know if you're a mathematician this sounds woefully naive, but that's what I thought.
Well it's not the case at all.
Right now it's getting lighter everyday by +3:56 minutes to +3:58 during this month. By the April that starts falling away to +3:33, by the end of May to +1:58.
I had no idea it happened this way. By June 10th its +1:06 dropping into the seconds as it gets closer to the 21st June.
Sorry I know this sounds so geeky but I found this so interesting....
There's a lot of stuff going round at the moment. Lots of people dropping down ill. I explained a few weeks ago how I use my heart rate to decide whether I should train or not.
But what if you're injured?
And what really constitutes an injury versus a little bout of aches and pains.
Once a week I see a massage therapist. If I have a niggle he 'cleans' it out for me. If we decide it might be structural I visit my osteopath and he does a little deeper work with me. But if I think I have an injury I take it really carefully.
I have experienced a number of injuries over the year, some through motorbike accidents, the other was through plantar fascists, and I have no wish to ever repeat the pain I went through for 18 months.
